Fourth Grade ART

Students are looking at the world with a more realistic and critical approach to their art.Students explore art with a focus on North Carolina Art .

North Carolina Essential Standards

One Point perspective.
Fourth graders started the year by looking at how artist create space in a flat surface. In their one point perspective students included line designs, and color that gets dull as it goes back in space.

Autumnal Still life
Students are analyzing the qualities of different drawing materials while creating an autumnal still life. We looked at the The Blue Vase by Paul Cezanne for inspiration and to help us classify what belongs in a still life
.

Tertiary colors 
Students are using their imagination to create a transparent object picture. Students will later add in color to create tertiary colors where the two objects touch.

Symbolic Personalized Jolly Rogers
Students are creating their own personal pirate flag by symbolizing their interests. Looking at Andy Warhol students will create multiple prints that repeat.
